Toothfairy Archive

In bringing the character of the Toothfairy to life, I re-imagine and distort a childhood icon who’s whimsical professional image coincides with the mundane habits and necessities of every day adult life. Nightly shifts collecting the teeth of sleeping infants, proceed into days of humdrum routines and possible vices. A presumed fairytale identity conflicts with the un-presumed. In particular, the desire to embrace oneself and continually evolve despite the banal and fixed notions of life. Through Tilda, I reflect my own sentiments on identity and its many facets.

This project is explored through photography, installation, performance and drawing.
